Football Matches

Please find below details of our Football rules regarding match betting markets. An example of a match market would be our Match Result or To Win Both Halves markets for a given football fixture.

General Rules

All bets are settled on the result after 90 minutes play unless otherwise specified. This includes injury time but does not include extra time or penalty shootouts. On some occasions we may issue special extra time betting which will be on the 30 minutes including injury time added in that period. The exceptions to this rule are in relation to situations where the referee ends the match before 90 minutes for reasons other than an abandonment, in these circumstances all markets will be settled based on the actual result when the game was concluded (excluding any extra-time), irrespective of whether the full 90 minutes was played.
All markets will be settled on the result of the game on the day that it is played. Any results that are changed retrospectively, eg. dubious goals panel reviews, results reversed for ineligible players, will not alter the settlement of the market.
If a match is postponed, bets on the match will be settled according to our postponement rules available here.
If a match is abandoned after it has already kicked off, any bets where the outcome has already been decided will stand. All other selections will be made void.
If it is announced within 3 hours of kick off that the game is due to restart within 3 days of the initial abandonment, all bets will stand. Undetermined bets will be void if no information is received within 3 hours of the initial abandonment.
If a match is forfeited or a team is given a walkover victory without the match having kicked off, then all bets will be void and the stake will be refunded, unless your bet involves more than one selection, in which case it will be settled on the remaining selections. Any subsequently awarded scoreline will not count for settlement purposes.
If a match is forfeited or a team is given a walkover victory after the match has kicked off then settlement will occur in line with our abandonment rules here. Any subsequently awarded scoreline will not count for settlement purposes.
Games where a referee removes the players from the field of play for a temporary period but resumes the remaining minutes of play by midnight local event time will not be deemed as abandoned and all bets will stand.
Games or markets where a result cannot be found will result in bets being made void 12 hours after the game has kicked off and the stake will be refunded, unless your bet involves more than one selection, in which case it will be settled on the remaining selections.
When a venue for a match is changed after the publication of odds, we reserve the right to void all bets. In the event of a bet being made void, the stake will be refunded, unless your bet involves more than one selection, in which case it will be settled on the remaining selections.
For two legged ties, bets placed on the first leg will still stand if the order of the ties is switched and it is instead played as the second leg. Eg you bet on 1st leg - Team A v Team B, it is then announced the first leg will instead be Team B v Team A. In this scenario bets will remain open and be settled on the outcome of the Team A v Team B match.
Timing and match statistics markets will be taken from the information published by Opta, our Feed Provider or the official competition website. If there is any disagreement between these two sources then the result will be settled according to Opta statistics which can be found here.
Where Opta statistics are not provided or there is significant evidence that the Opta, Feed Provider or official Competition website statistics are incorrect we reserve the right to withhold settlement for 30 minutes after the full time whistle and make a final settlement based upon the Opta, Feed Provider or official Competition website information at this time. Any subsequent amendments will not affect settlement.
For matches played at a neutral venue, bets will still count regardless of the order the teams are listed, and whether or not we have indicated it is being played at a neutral venue.
For settlement of markets specifying 'home' or 'away' team (eg home team over/under 1.5 goals etc), the team listed first will be classed as the home team. For example in 'Team 1 v Team 2' such markets will be settled as though 'Team 1' were the home side, and 'Team 2' the away.
For matches listed specifically as Youth, for the purpose of reference, ''Youth'' is a generic term we use for football teams where the players are aged below 23 years old.
If after the publication of odds on a match, a team is deemed to be fielding a reserve side and/or a mixture of players from the club rather than the senior first team, then we reserve the right to void all bets placed on this game. In the event that a selection is made void, the stake will be refunded unless your bet involves more than one selection, in which case it will be settled on the remaining.

Match Result

You're betting on: the result of the match, e.g. Team A, Draw or Team B

To Qualify/Lift The Trophy/Winner of Tie

You're betting on: whether the stated team qualify from the tie, or lift the trophy if it is a final

Settlement will be determined for all "To Qualify" markets by the final result on the pitch.
If the match is over 2 legs the market will be settled after completion of both legs, or after the replay if an initial one off tie ends a draw.
Settlement will not be reversed if a team is subsequently suspended or removed from a tournament competition.

Method of Victory

You're betting on: whether a match will be decided in normal time, extra time or via a penalty shootout and if desired which team will win in each format.

First leg scores (if applicable) should be taken into account when placing a bet.

Asian Handicap

You're betting on: the result of the match after the stated Asian Handicap has been applied.

Full Time Result - 2UP

We offer a Full Time Result - 2UP market on selected pre-match football matches across our Sportsbook.
If your team goes two or more goals ahead, at any point in the match, we will pay you out as a winner!
This can be on single and multiple bets.
Bets placed on the Full Time Result market do not apply to this offer. 2UP is a separate market and must be bet on in order to be paid out early. This offer does not apply to bets placed on the Draw selection in each game.
This offer will not apply where a bet has been fully Cashed Out. Where a bet has been partially Cashed Out and your team goes two goals ahead, the bet will be settled on the remaining active stake.
If your bet is paid out early in accordance with this offer it will not be paid out again if your selection goes on to win the match.
There is no maximum pay out on this market.
This market applies to regular time only - any goals scored in Extra Time do not count towards the offer and bets will be settled at the end of the standard 90 minutes.

Handicap Betting

You're betting on: the result of the match after the stated Handicap has been applied.

Double Chance

You're betting on: a match ending in one of the two displayed outcomes, e.g. Team A/Draw would require the match to end in a Team A victory or a Draw in order to secure a payout.

Half-time/Full-time

You're betting on: the result of the match at half-time and full-time.

Correct Score

You're betting on: the scoreline of the match, e.g. Team A 2-1, Team B 3-2 etc.

Correct Score Group Betting/Double Chance

You're betting on:a grouped selection of the scorelines of the match

The bet will be a winner if any of the named selections is the correct result after 90 minutes.

Draw No Bet

You're betting on: the result of the match with the condition that a Drawn match will result in stakes returned.

Half Time Result

You're betting on: the result of the 1st half, i.e. the result at half time.

Winning Margin

You're betting on: by what margin the nominated team will win by, e.g. Team A by Exactly 1 Goal

If match is drawn, bets still stand.

To Win Both Halves

You're betting on: the nominated team scoring more goals than their opponents in BOTH the first half AND the second half.

This is different to the Half-Time/Full-Time market.

To Win Either Half

You're betting on: the nominated team scoring more goals than their opponents in EITHER the first half OR the second half.

Win to Nil

You're betting on: your named team to score at least one goal and the opponents to score no goals during the 90 minutes.

Come From Behind And Win

You're betting on: the named team to have less goals than the opposition any point and finish the match as winners.

To Score In Both Halves

You're betting on: the nominated team scoring in BOTH the first half AND the second half.

Clean Sheet

You're betting on: the nominated team not conceding any goals to their opponents.

Team To Kick Off

You're betting on: which team will take the original kick-off, signalling the start of the match.

Soccer Saturday/Soccer Special Price Boost

You're betting on: the stated teams to win their respective matches/markets

In the case of one or more postponed matches, the bet will stand as an enhanced accumulator on the remaining selections.

If one of the selections contained within the accumulator does not take part, we'll use the prices of the remaining selections to offer a price. e.g. A treble would become a double.

Match Specials:

Selections will be resulted on the games in essential notes (see image below for an example of essential notes, which will be displayed at the top of the market). Should any of those games be abandoned or postponed bets will be void and the stake refunded.

To Assist a Goal in 90 mins

You're betting on: whether a player will Assist a goal during the course of the match

For settlement purposes, a player will be deemed to have assisted a goal if OPTA adjudicate they have done so. Live Opta stats can be found here.
A player cannot assist a goal scored by themselves.
Bets will be settled on normal time (Including injury time) only. Assists made in any Extra-time period will not count unless specifically stated.

Penalties

In the event of a penalty, the player earning the penalty is awarded an assist if a goal is directly scored, but not if they take it themselves, in which case no assist is given.

In abandoned matches, any player who has already assisted at the time of abandonment will be settled as a winner.

If the named player does not take part in the match, bets on that player will be void and the stake will be refunded, unless your bet involves more than one selection, in which case it will be settled on the remaining selections. If the player takes any part in the match, bets will stand.

To Assist 2+ Goals

You're betting on: whether a player will Assist two goals (or more)

If the named player does not take part in the match, bets on that player will be void and the stake will be refunded, unless your bet involves more than one selection, in which case it will be settled on the remaining selections. If the player takes any part in the match, bets will stand.
In abandoned matches, any player who has already Assisted 2+ goals at the time of abandonment will be settled as a winner.

To Assist and Win

You're betting on: whether a nominated player will Assist a goal AND their team goes on to win the match

If the named player does not take any part in the match, bets on that player/team combination will be void and the stake will be refunded, unless your bet involves more than one selection, in which case it will be settled on the remaining selections.

To Score and Assist

You're betting on: whether a nominated player will score a goal AND assist a goal

If the named player does not take any part in the match, bets on that player will be void and the stake will be refunded, unless your bet involves more than one selection, in which case it will be settled on the remaining selection.
In abandoned matches, any player who has already scored and assisted a goal at the time of abandonment will be settled as a winner..

Player v Team, Player v Player In Play Events

You're betting on: the total goals scored by each named player/team not the result of the Match.

In the event of a player being substituted bets will be settled based on the score at full time.
Cashout will be available up until the point that a player is substituted.

Full Time Result

Player v Player

You're betting on which player will score the most goals. Eg. Player A, Player B or Draw.

Player v Team

You're betting on who will score the most goals. Eg. Player A, Team A or Draw.

Correct Score

Player v Player

You're betting on: the scoreline of the named matchup Eg. Player A 1 - 0 Player B

Player v Team

You're betting on: the scoreline of the named matchup Eg. Player A 1 - 0 Team A

Draw No Bet

You're betting on: the result of the matchup with the condition that a Drawn matchup will result in stakes returned.

UEFA Man of the Match

You're betting on: who will UEFA announce on uefa.com as the official man of the match.

Bets stand if the player takes part in the match. Bets void if the player doesn't take any part in the match and the stake will be refunded, unless your bet involves more than one selection, in which case it will be settled on the remaining selections. For matches that go to extra time, bets on players substituted on after normal time ends will stand as player can still be awarded Man of the Match.

UEFA Star of the Match

You're betting on: who will UEFA announce on uefa.com as the official man of the match.

World Cup 2022 Official FIFA Man of the Match

You're betting on: who will UEFA announce on uefa.com as the official man of the match.

1 Minute RequestABet

You're betting on specific outcomes to happen within the first minute of the match. This covers 00:00 - 00:59 on the match clock.

If an outcome is awarded (e.g. a corner or throw in) but not taken within the first minute, your bet will be settled as a winner.

All bets will be made void if the match is postponed or abandoned before 00:59 match time, unless the outcome is already determined and the stake will be refunded, unless your bet involves more than one selection, in which case it will be settled on the remaining selections.
