What is Australian Football (or Aussie Rules)?

Aussie Rules is a sport played with an oval ball between two teams of eighteen players on a large oval-shaped field, with the aim of the game to kick the ball through the two tallest goal-posts which are set at either end of the ground.

General Rules

  • All markets will be settled on regulation time unless otherwise stated 
  • The match must be completed for Match Betting bets to stand. Otherwise, if the result of the market has already been determined then bets will stand. 
  • Bets will be settled on the official AFL result only, which can be viewed on the official AFL website here. 
  • If a match is postponed or there is a change of venue which materially affects home advantage, all bets will be made void. If a match is played within 7 days of the original scheduled date, all bets stand. Once the 7 days have expired all bets are voided and stakes refunded. 
  • Any Team which has Points Deducted due to breaches of rules and regulations will be Deemed A Starter for resulting purposes. Any loss of Premierships after the completion of the Grand Final will be deemed null and void and all bets will stand.' 

Outright Markets  

Premiership Betting 

You're betting on: the team to win the Premiership (by winning the Finals Series). 

Final 8 Betting

You're betting on: your selection to finish in the Top 8 and qualify for the Finals Series. 

Minor Premiership Betting 

You're betting on: the team to finish top of the table at the end of the regular season. 

  • The official league table at the conclusion of the final match of the scheduled season will determine the settlement of bets. 
  • Any penalties or appeals heard after the end of the scheduled season which may subsequently alter the league placings will not count for betting purposes. 

SANFL & WAFL 

Grand Final Winner

  • Winner is the team who wins the final, if no final takes place then all bets are void. If a team pulls out or does not complete all its matches this will be settled as a loser 

Wooden Spoon Betting 

You're betting on: the team finishing at the bottom of the table at the end of the regular season. 

  • The official league table at the conclusion of the final match of the scheduled season will determine the settlement of bets. 
  • Any penalties or appeals heard after the end of the scheduled season which may subsequently alter the league placings will not count for betting purposes. 
  • In the event of more than one team having the same number of wins the position will be determined by For and Against. 

Brownlow Medal Winner 

You're betting on: who will win the Brownlow Medal in the Regular AFL Season 

  • Others available on request 
  • Every effort will be made to quote all potential runners for this market, however, should the winner not be quoted all bets will stand 
  • In the event of a long term injury, all bets will stand 

Match Markets 

Match Betting 

You're betting on: the winner of the match. 

  • In the event of a tie bets will be void. 

Handicap Betting 

You're betting on: which team will win once the handicap is applied to the overall match score 

First Team To Score

You're betting on: the first team to score any points in the match. 

Winning Margin 

You're betting on: the winning margin a team will emerge victorious with. 

  • Winning margin betting is from scratch. 
  • If the match ends in a tie the market will be void. 

HT Result

You're betting on: which team will be winning at half time

  • If the score at half time is tied, bets will be void. 

Half Time Result (With Draw) 

You're betting on: which team will be winning at half time

  • If the score at half time is tied, bets will be settled as a Draw 

Half Time / Full Time 

You're betting on: which team will be winning at half time and at full time. 

Highest Scoring Half 

You're betting on: which half will have the highest number of points scored. 

  • If both halves emerge with equal numbers of points, the market will be void. 

Highest Scoring Quarter 

You're betting on: which quarter will have the highest number of points scored. 

  • If all quarters end with an equal number of points, the market will be void. 
  • If 2 or 3 quarters end with an equal number of points dead heat rules will apply. 

Quarter Betting 

You're betting on: which team will win the quarter. 

  • The respective quarter must be completed for bets to stand. 

Odd or Even Total 

You're betting on: will the total points in the match be an odd or even number 

1st Goalscorer 

You're betting on: which player will score the first goal. 

  • Bets will stand on players in the matchday squad (22 Players) regardless of being on the field or not. 
  • Bets on Players not in the matchday squad will be void. 
  • Bets refunded if no goal scored within the nominated qrt. For bets on first goalscorer of the match, goal doesn't need to be scored in 1st quarter 

International Rules Series

Match Betting

You're betting on: who will win the match? 

  • All match bets settled on regulation time only (80 minutes). 
  • Bets will be settled on official GAA/AFL result only. 

Series Betting 

You're betting on: which team will have the highest combined score from both tests? 

  • If both teams finish with a tied aggregate score then the current holders will be deemed the winner. 

Winning Margin 

You're betting on: what will the winning team's margin of victory be? 

Double Result 

You're betting on: the result of the match at half-time and full-time. 

  • Bets settled on regulation time only (80 minutes). 

First Scoring Play

You're betting on: which team will score the first points of the game and the method in which they have been scored. 

  • Own goals, overs and behinds will count as first scoring play. 

Highest Scoring Quarter 

You're betting on: which quarter will have the highest number of points scored. 

  • If there is a tie for highest scoring quarter then bets are settled as a tie. 

First Quarter Betting 

You're betting on: who will win the first quarter? 

  • The First quarter must be completed for bets to stand. 
  • If quarter ends in a tie then bets will be settled at the tie price if offered. 

Race to 10 Points 

You're betting on: which team will be the first to score ten points. 

First Goalscorer 

You're betting on: which player will score the first goal of the match 

  • Any player coming on as a substitute after the first goal or who takes no part in the game is deemed a non-runner and will therefore be made void. 
  • Own goals do not count. In the case of an own goal scored, 1st bets will be settled on the 2nd goalscorer. 
  • Bets refunded if no goal scored within the nominated qrt. For bets on first goalscorer of the match, goal doesn't need to be scored in 1st quarter
