What is Swimming?

Swimming is an individual or team racing sport that requires the use of one's entire body to move through water.  

General Rules

  • All bets will be settled according to the official result at the time of podium presentation.
  • Subsequent amendments do not count.
  • Whilst we will endeavour to settle all markets as quickly as possible, this can sometimes be delayed due to official investigations over DQ's etc.

Gold Medal Winner

You're betting on: who will win the gold medal.

  • In the event that any competitor is disqualified, including for false starts, bets will be treated as losers on that selection.
  • Olympic Games, European Championship and World Championship betting will be treated as antepost, with bets on all competitors considered to be runners regardless of participation in the finals.
  • All other athletics meetings - if a competitor isn't named in the field, the selection will be void
  • Dead Heat rules apply

Event/Medal Winner

You're betting on: Which swimmer will win this event.

  • In the event that any competitor is disqualified or withdraws for any reason, including for false starts, bets will be treated as losers on that selection

To Win A Medal

You're betting on: Which swimmer will be awarded a Medal for this event. 

  • In the event that any competitor is disqualified or withdraws for any reason, including for false starts, bets will be treated as losers on that selection.

Heat Betting

You're betting on: Which swimmer will win the given heat.

  • In the event that any competitor is disqualified or withdraws for any reason, including for false starts, bets will be treated as losers on that selection

Match Betting

You're betting on: Which of the named swimmers will record the fastest time in the specified race or competition.

  • Markets may be offered for individual match bets within a heat, or for competition match bets.
  • In the event that any competitor is disqualified or withdraws for any reason, including for false starts, bets will be treated as losers on that selection.
  • If an event is postponed, bets will settled as void
  • These rules also apply for the live versions of these markets
