Olympic & Commonwealth Games Rules

What are the Olympic Games? The modern Olympic Games are the leading international sporting events featuring summer and winter sports competitions in which thousands of athletes from around the world participate in a variety of competitions. The Olympic Games 2028 will be held in Los Angeles, USA.

What are the Commonwealth Games?
The Commonwealth Games is a quadrennial international multi-sport event among athletes from the Commonwealth of Nations, which mostly consists of territories of the former British Empire.

General Rules

  • All Olympic Events will be settled on the official IOC (International Olympic Committee) Results. 
  • For the Commonwealth Games all events will be settled on the official CGF results at the time of the medal/podium ceremony only. 
  • In the event of a disqualification, the medal/podium ceremony will count as the final result and determine settlement of bets.
  • For information relating to specific sport rules please check the rules located under that sport's page within these rules. 
  • Dead Heat Rules may apply to Olympics & Commonwealth Games markets 

Country Golds / Country Medals

You're betting on: How many medals and or gold medals the named country wins at the stated Olympics.

  • Team events count as one gold medal.
  • All Events will be settled on the official IOC (International Olympic Committee) Results.

Most Gold Medals

You're betting on: Which country will receive the most gold medals at the stated Olympics.

  • In the event of a tie, the following will be used as tie-breakers - 1) most silver medals, 2) most bronze medals. 
  • If there is still a tie after the tie-breakers are applied, then bets will be settled as a dead-heat.
  • Team events count as one gold medal 

Most Medals

You're betting on: Which country will receive the most total medals at the stated Olympic Games. 

  • Gold, silver & bronze medals all count. 
  • Team events count as one medal 
  • In the event of ties, dead-heat rules will apply 

Olympics & Commonwealth Games - Postponed and Cancelled Events

  • If a match or bout is postponed, bets will stand as long as it takes place within 48 hours of the initial scheduled time. If the match or bout takes place after this period, bets will be voided.  
  • The above 48-hour match voiding rule will not apply to outright medal markets.  
  • The 48-hour match voiding rule will not apply to tennis, soccer (football) and surfing. Specific sporting rules and terms will apply as per normal to the above mentioned matches of these sports.
