What is American football? American Football is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. The offense, the team with possession of the oval-shaped football, attempts to advance down the field by running with the ball or passing it, while the defence, the team without possession of the ball, aims to stop the offense's advance and to take control of the ball for themselves.
General Rules
- If any NFL match is postponed in advance of the fixture and moved back or forward within 60 hours of the original kickoff time all bets will stand provided there is no change of venue; in this instance bets will be made void.
- If any NFL match is abandoned or postponed and moved more than 60 hours away from the original kickoff time all bets will be made void apart from those with already determined results, eg the total points going over the quoted total, the 1st offensive play of the match etc.
- If any non NFL match is abandoned, postponed or there is a change of venue all bets will be made void apart from those with already determined results, eg the total points going over the quoted total, the 1st offensive play of the match etc. If a match is brought forward bets will stand.
- When a handicap/totals tie occurs (known as a "push"), bets will be made void, unless the Tie is offered.
- Winning margin betting is from scratch, i.e. based on no handicap. Overtime is included for Winning Margin; both live and pre-event.
- Where there is no market specific rule, points or stats accumulated in overtime will be counted towards settlement for all pre-match markets as part of the 2nd half with the exception of those with mention to a specific quarter, or those which a tie within regulation time is offered.
- The Red Zone is defined as the area inside the opposing teams' 20 yards line
- Total Fumbles Lost: Only lost fumbles count, ie if a team recovers their own fumble, it will not count towards the total fumbles
- Field Goal Miss: If no Field Goal is attempted then "No Field Goal Missed" will be settled as winner
- A penalty must be accepted, as per NFL.com for both 'Most Penalty Yards' and 'Type of First Penalty' markets.
- All bets will be settled as per the sport's official website, NFL.com
- Bets include all players that are classed as "active", i.e. in uniform and ready to play. Therefore only if your selected player is inactive will your bet be made void.
- Season long bets are for the regular season only unless otherwise stated.
- Regular Season Win Market - All 17 regular season games must take place or this will be voided.
- In the "Weekly RedZone Treble Price Boost & RequestABet Specials" market fixtures will be listed in the event notes. If more than one of the listed matches is voided as per Sky Bet rules then any markets that refer to "Each of the 6pm", "Each of the 9.05pm and 9.25pm" or "Each of the 6pm, 9.05pm & 9.25pm Matches" will be made void.
- For all Touchdown scorer markets Passing Touchdowns will not count. A player must carry the ball and break the plane of the goal line, or obtain possession of the ball in the endzone, resulting in the award of 6 points to their team. Players who score Rushing Touchdowns, Receiving Touchdowns and/or Defensive/Special Teams Return Touchdowns will be settled as winners.
- Turnovers are the result of Fumbles Lost (where a team loses possession of the football & the opposing team takes possession) & Interceptions thrown. Turnovers on Downs are not counted as part of the turnover totals.
Match/Quarter/Half Winner
You're betting on: Which team will win the game/quarter/half.
- Overtime counts for match market, apart from where the draw is priced in-play.
- If the match is a tie at the end of overtime, bets will be made void, apart from the market where the draw is offered in-play.
- Unless a draw is offered, bets will be void.
Handicap Betting
You're betting on: Which team will win the match/quarter/half after the designated handicap scores have been applied.
- When a handicap/totals tie occurs (known as a "push"), bets will be made void, unless the Tie is offered.
- When handicap is offered as part of a RequestABet, the RequestABet will be deemed a loser if the handicap results in a tie as Handicap Ties are offered if requested as part of RequestABets.
- Overtime counts for this type of bet.
TD Scorers
You're betting on: Players who score Rushing Touchdowns, Receiving Touchdowns and/or Defensive/Special Teams Return Touchdowns. Passing Touchdown will not count.
- When there is No Touchdown in the match then 1st Team Touchdown Scorer & Last Touchdown Scorer will be voided. If one team has scored no touchdowns then the 1st team touchdown scorer for that team will be void. Normal rules apply to other markets in this scenario.
- 1st Touchdown Scorer, Anytime Touchdown Scorer, Brace & Hat Trick will all be settled as losers as a 'No TD Scorer' is included in the betting.
1st Touchdown Method
You're betting on: Whether the first Touchdown will be a Rushing, Passing or Special Teams/Defensive Touchdown.
- In the instance that a Touchdown is scored via Pass or Rush by the Special Teams (Fake Punt or Field Goal), then two winners will be paid out.
Both Players To Score a TD and Win
You're betting on: Both named players to score a touchdown and named team to win the match.
- Bets include all players that are classed as "active", i.e. in uniform and ready to play.
- A quarterback throwing for a touchdown does not count towards the settlement of any 'player to score' related touchdown markets.
- Both selected players must be deemed "active" i.e. in uniform and ready to play, if not, then the bet will be deemed void.
Enhanced Touchdown Scorer Accas
- Bets include all players that are classed as 'active', i.e. in uniform and ready to play.
- If any selected player is inactive the bet will be made void.
To Score Touchdown and Cover
You're betting on: Will the player score a touchdown and cover their 'prop' quote.
- The player named must score and go over their respective prop quote. For example, Player A to score and have over 75.5 rushing yards.
- Bets include all players that are classed as "active", i.e. in uniform and ready to play. Therefore only if your selected player is inactive will your bet be made void.
Win in Normal Time
You're betting on: Which team will win the game within normal play.
- Overtime does NOT count towards settlement.
- If it's a draw and the match goes to Overtime then Tie will be settled as a winner.
Super Bowl MVP
You're betting on: Which player will be awarded the official Super Bowl MVP award given during the trophy ceremony after the match.
- Dead-Heat Rules Apply in the instance that a joint award is given.
MVP Winning Position
You're betting on: The position group of the MVP Winner.
- Bets will be settled according to the Active Roster located on the official team website..
- In the event a Player is listed as two separate positions Dead-Heat rules will apply.
- In the event of two players being given the award Dead-Heat rules will apply.
Onside Kick Specials
You're betting on: the stated event revolving around an onside kick occurring in the game.
- The official Gamebook will be used for settlement in the instance of doubt.
Kick/Punt Return TD
You're betting on: Whether a Kick or Punt will be returned by the receiving team for a Touchdown.

Team X Passing or Rushing Yards
You're betting on: Whether the total teams passing or rushing yards is above the set number.
- Total passing or rushing yards will be settled on total team yards in the match and not specific player yards.
- As for example, if a sack has occurred in the match, then the yardage they have lost will be deducted from the team's total passing yards.
Player X Passing or Rushing Yards
You're betting on: whether a players total passing or rushing yards is above the set number.
- Total passing or rushing yards will be settled on the specific player total yards in the match.
- As for example, if a sack or tackle for a loss has occurred in the match, then the yardage they have lost will be deducted from the players total passing yards.
Half Time Show/Novelty Markets
- Where the Selections are based on a Yes/No answer markets will be voided if no answer can be established.
- For colour based markets such as Gatorade Colour or Item of Clothing Colour Sky Bet will make the final decision. In markets where no clear winner can be established bets will be made void.
- For National Anthem Length, timing will count from the beginning of the first word of the anthem until the end of the last line. In the instance that the last line is repeated this will not count towards the timing.
- If a time based market cannot be reasonably settled with a 1 second margin of error bets will be made void.
- For Anytime Guest Performer, this will be settled on any guest artist appearing on stage to Sing or Perform a song with the Headline Super Bowl Half Time Show act.
- For Number of Songs Performed during the Halftime show, this market will be settled as a Winner if a song is played for at least 10 seconds.
- For 1st/Last Song, this market will be settled on which song is sung by the headline artist for at least 10 seconds. In the instance that the music of a song is played and not sung by the headline artist this will not count, and will be settled as a loser.
- For 'To Be Shown Before in National Anthem' this market will be settled on coverage from 'Sky Sports Main Event' Channel. In the event 'Sky Sports Main Event' is not covering the game, market notes will be applied of which alternative coverage this will be settled from.
- For 'Who Will MVP Mention First in Speech', this market will be settled on their first official speech on the podium after the game has finished.
- For 'Coin Toss, this market will be settled on the official result of coin toss on the field and before the game with referees and both teams captains. If for any reason the coin toss has to be repeated then settlement will be based on the final coin toss.
First/Last 'xxx' Markets
You're betting on: A team or certain play to be the first/last action of the game.
- If the stated eventuality does not occur and a 'No xxx' option was not available, the market will be void (unless otherwise stated in the market notes
- Offensive Play markets are settled as per the result of the 'gamebook' of www.nfl.com.
- Interceptions/Incomplete Passes/Sacks = Pass Plays; Fumble at Snap/Exchange with RB = Run Plays. Penalties do not count and the bet will be settled according to the next play.
- 1st Team to Commit a Penalty will be settled as per the team who is flagged first, irrespective of whether the penalty is accepted.
- Injury timeouts and timeouts lost through unsuccessful coaches challenges etc do not count towards settlement of timeout markets
- Punts or turnovers on downs will not count towards settlement of turnover markets.
RequestABet
- A quarterback throwing for a touchdown does not count towards the settlement of any 'player to score' related touchdown markets.
- If any player in the bet does not take any part in the match, the bet will be made void.
- Where multiple players are named to achieve a certain yardage or number of touchdowns in the selection, the bet will require each player to surpass the named total, unless the word "combined" is used in the selection name.
Double Result
You're betting on: Which team will be winning at half time and which team will be winning at full time.
- Overtime is not included in this market; games into OT will be settled as a Full Time Draw.
Highest/Lowest Scoring Markets
You're betting on: Which aspect of the game or round will be the highest or lowest.
- In overall game-based markets, all named games must be played for bets to stand
- Unless a tie is offered, Dead-Heat rules will apply.
- Overtime counts for all bets, including highest scoring half / quarter where it is an addition to the 2nd half / 4th quarter.
Longest/Shortest 'xxx' Markets
You're betting on: Which team will have the longest/shortest or how long/short will the stated action be.

You're betting on: Which player or team will score or be awarded the most or the total said player or team acquires.
- In player-based markets, all named players must be deemed active as per NFL.com or bets will be made void.
- In Total Yard markets, bets are settled on gross yardage as per NFL.com.
- In penalty-based first markets, all penalties must be an accepted penalty, as per NFL.com.
- Unless a tie is offered, Dead-Heat rules will apply.
- Total Tackles & Assists: Both statistics are counted equally for settlement purposes.
Position To Score 1st
You're betting on: Which position will score the 1st touchdown.
- The position to score 1st will be settled on whichever position the first scoring player is according to their official NFL player profile on NFL.com.
- Any player scoring with the position which isn't listed, this will be settled as 'Other'.
- In the event of no touchdown being scored in the match, all bets will be made losers.
Total Points
You're betting on: Whether the combined points total of both teams is above or below the set number.

- Each questin must be answered in order to bet on the market
- Settlement of each question will be in line with the usual market settlement
- Bets include all players that are classed as 'active', i.e. in uniform and ready to play.
- If any selected player is inactive the market will be made void.
- If a match is abandoned, postponed or there is a change of venue all bets will be made void apart from those with already determined results.
AFC v NFC Most X Applicable to TDs/Passing TDs/Rushing TDs/Rushing Yards/Passing Yards/Sacks/4th Down Conversions/Interceptions Thrown
You're betting on: During the playoffs (including the Super Bowl) the total combination of of the quoted statistic in each market produced by Each team within the AFC or the NFC, pitted against the total combination of teams from the other conference. For example, if you back the AFC to have the Most Passing Touchdowns the total Passing Touchdowns from the AFC Wildcard Round, AFC Divisional Round and AFC Championship game will be added to the Passing Touchdowns thrown by the AFC Super Bowl representative. These will then be compared to the same criteria from the NFC.
- Bets will be settled as Dead-Heat if scores are tied.
- If one or more playoff games are cancelled all markets will be made void.
Last Unbeaten Team
You're betting on: Which team will be the last team to lose their 1st game.
- If the last unbeaten teams (2 or more) all lose their 1st game in the same game week then Dead-Heat rules will apply
Last Winless Team
You're betting on: Which team will be the last team to win their 1st game.
- If the last winless teams (2 or more) all win their 1st game in the same game week then Dead-Heat rules will apply
