SDK's (Standard Development Kits) are used on our mobile apps and provide core functionality as well as levels of tracking.
In this notice, the terms "cookies", "similar technologies" or "trackers" are used interchangeably to refer to all technologies that we may use to store data in your browser or device or that facilitate collection of personal information.
Why do we use cookies?
Strictly Necessary, Functionality, Performance and Third Party Marketing/Targeting Cookies are used by our websites and apps to improve your experience, to ensure relevant content and functions are delivered and to display advertising relevant to your interests.
We use both session cookies and persistent cookies to perform various functions across our sites.
Session cookies are downloaded to your device temporarily for the period that you browse a particular website; these cookies might allow you to navigate between pages more efficiently or enable websites to remember the preferences you select. Persistent cookies can be used to help websites remember you as a returning visitor or ensure the online adverts you receive are more relevant to your interests.
We provide detailed information on cookie purposes in How we use cookies and in the Cookie Management functionality located on the footer of each service we provide.
How we use cookies?
When you visit our websites, Cookies will be placed on your device in two ways:
- Cookies placed by Sky Betting & Gaming brand (Bet, Vegas, Casino, Poker, Bingo, etc.), as the site operator, are called "first party" cookies.
- Cookies may also be placed on your device by a party other than Sky Betting & Gaming. Such cookies are known as "third party" cookies. Examples of the uses of third party cookies include collecting information about browsing habits, providing tailored content to you and serving marketing and advertising that we believe is of interest.
While there are many different uses for first and third party cookies, the cookies used by us fall into one of the following four categories:
- Strictly Necessary Cookies
- Functionality Cookies
- Performance Cookies
- Third Party Marketing / Targeting Cookies
Set out in the tables below is more information on these categories of cookies, including their purpose and whether these cookies collect personal data. These tables provide summary information designed to help you understand our use of cookies more clearly. For granular, complete details on each individual cookie, including cookie name, host, duration, type (first vs. third party), category and description, please see the Cookie Management preference centre by clicking the link in the footer of our websites and apps.
How can you control the use of cookies?
Cookie consent choices upon visiting Sky Betting & Gaming sites or apps
When you first visit one of our sites or apps, you will be presented with a banner which offers you a choice between:
- providing consent for all cookies (the "Allow all cookies" button);
- rejecting all optional cookies (the "Allow necessary only" button), which will block the use of such cookies on our sites or apps; or
- opening the Cookie Management preference centre (the "Manage Cookies" button) where you can tailor your choices on each cookie category or type.
Changing cookie preferences on Sky Betting & Gaming sites or apps
You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie Management" link in the footer of the site or app. This will open our Cookie Management preference centre, where, as explained above, you can choose which categories of cookies you want turned on or off. We participate in the IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF) and comply with its Specifications and Policies. We use OneTrust to provide our Consent Management Platform, this has TCF identification number 28.
If you change and remove your consent for a specific cookie category, it will result in the cookies being blocked or disabled on our sites and apps, meaning they will not be used by the first (us) or the third party serving the cookies. However, even though the cookies will not be used anymore, the disabled and unused cookies may still remain on your device. To remove unused and disabled cookies from your device, you can do so easily through use of your browser or device settings – see "Cookie control through browser settings" and "Cookie control through Apple iPhone iOS".
Cookie control through browser settings
Generally, your web browser settings will provide controls that enable you to accept, refuse or delete all cookies, third party cookies or specific website cookies. So, if you want to block cookies at a browser level or third party level, rather than just on our Sky Betting & Gaming site or app, you can do so via your browser settings.

Some of these third parties may be receiving data from cookies served directly by the third parties themselves (i.e. third party cookies), but, due to the way in which Sky Betting & Gaming implement cookies on our sites and apps, the third parties may also be receiving data from cookies placed by us (i.e. first party cookies). The third parties who receive data derived from each category of cookies include the following:
- Strictly Necessary Cookies include security, traffic management, fraud prevention and service enabling data moving to Akamai, Amazon Web Services, OneTrust, Playtech, Salesforce and Iovation;

Full details on each individual cookie being used on our sites and apps, either being placed directly by a third party or sending data to a third party via a first party cookie, is provided through the Cookie Management preference centre. This information includes the third party name, a link to the third party's privacy and cookie information, and then full details on each individual cookie.
You can block third party cookies used by our sites and apps at any time, from your initial visit or any subsequent visit, by using the Cookie Management preference centre.
If you wish to block third party cookies at a browser level, you can do so by using your browser settings, as explained in "Cookie control through browser settings".
There are also tools available online that enable you to control your third party cookies, particularly cookies used for interest-based or targeted marketing. Two such tools are from:
- The European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance ("EDAA"). The EDAA is a not-for-profit European industry coalition representing the advertising sector and governed by EU-level organisations. The NAI is a not-for-profit self-regulatory association, comprised exclusively of third-party digital advertising companies, aimed at promoting, maintaining and enforcing standards for data usage in digital marketing.
