We try to make our products accessible to all our customers, regardless of their disability. This includes making provisions for visually, cognitively and mobility disabled customers in the way we built the website.
If you find the text on the site too small to read, you can use your web browser to increase the size of it.
High Contrast View
You can enable the websites' high contrast view feature if the colour contrast makes the site difficult to use. You may find this feature useful if you are a user with limited vision, or have a condition such as epilepsy or dyslexia.
To use this feature, locate and click the "High Contrast" link near the top of the page. This will enable a view with the following features:
- Simplified Layout
- Black Page Background
- Large High Contrast Text
- No Animated Images
To turn this feature off, simply locate and click the link again.
Screen Reader Software
Behind the scenes we've made sure our website's compatible with screen reader users. This allows customers with no vision to navigate and use our website.
Browsing With The Keyboard
It's possible to use our websites by using the keyboard, rather than a mouse or other pointing device. This can be done by using the TAB key to move forward through the links on the page, and Shift-TAB to move backwards. Pressing the Return key will activate the link you are focused on. To make a selection, use the Space Bar.
There are lots of computer products designed to make computers and software easier to use for disabled people, including screen reading software, larger keyboards and more. If you find a computer difficult to use, you may find some helpful information at the Direct Gov website.
