    Why do I need to verify my account?

    As a responsible operator, we check every account that's opened with us to make sure the account holder is 18 years old or over. If this verification process is successful, you'll be able to access your account from the word go without any contact from us about it.

    However, even if you are old enough to have an account with us, occasionally our verification check will be inconclusive.

    Why have I failed the verification check?

    The automatic check we have in place cross-references details with a variety of sources such as the electoral roll, births index, mortality index etc.

    On occasion, details on these sources can be out-of-date or details entered on registration can have slight errors in them. In these circumstances we would ask for some additional information to verify your account.

    I'm from the UK, how can I verify my account?

    I don't have a UK Driving Licence or a Passport, what can I do?

    If you don't have these details, please get in touch and we'll look into it further for you. In the rare case where we couldn't resolve this for you after you've contacted us, we'd ask you to send in copies of certain documents to prove your details.

    I can't verify online, what documents do I need to send and where do I send them to?

    We do reserve the right to request copies of documentation at any time but for the sole purpose of ensuring we have the correct name and age for you, we would require:

    • A copy of your Passport, Driving licence or Birth Certificate.

    Please be advised that we need to see the documents as in the examples above, with all information clearly visible. Attempts with documents that have information covered will subsequently be refused.

    • If you have one of the required documents available on your computer - the quickest way is to use a scanner or take a photo with a digital camera - please click here to send an email. The attach button is available at the bottom of the form.

    • If you have one of the required documents with you and a mobile phone equipped with email and a camera, please click here to send an email with your default email app - just remember to attach the photo before sending.
    • If you have one of the required documents in paper form, copies of documents can be faxed to Customer Care at Sky Betting and Gaming on 01423 700 882 or + 44 1423 700 882 (from outside the UK)

    Once received and successfully verified, your account would then be up and running and ready to go.
